1968년 앨범 'The Beatles'(일명 White Album)에 수록된 노래. 2001년 Jessie Nelson 감독의 영화 'I Am Sam'에서는 Sarah McLachlan의 cover 곡으로 나오기도 했다. Beatles 노래는 법적으로 원곡 그대로 영화의 Soundtrack으로 쓰일 수 없게 되어있어 모든 Beatles의 노래가 나오는 영화는 부득이하게 모두 cover곡으로 나온다는 사실. 덕분에 다양한 version의 Beatles 노래들을 들을 수 있다는 장점도...영화 'I am Sam'은 Sean Penn이나 Dakota Fanning의 잘 알려진 연기 이외에도 17 곡의 Beatles 노래들이 쟁쟁한 Musician들의 Cover곡으로 담겨져 있다는 사실. 노래 뿐 아니라 영화의 대사나 상황도 Beatles와 밀접한 관계가 있다. 예를 들어 Sam은 Beatles와 관계된 모든 일을 기억한다거나, Lucy가 처음 태어났을 때 간호사가 아기 이름은? 하고 물었을 때 Beatles의 'Lucy in the sky with diamonds'를 기억하며 'Lucy Diamond Dawson'이라고 대답하는 장면에서 The Black Crowes의 cover 곡, 'Lucy in the sky with diamonds'가 흐른다는 식이다. 이쯤되면 이 영화를 Beatles 헌정영화로 불려도 손색이 없을 듯...
